From Friday to Monday.... just two more weeks.

Friday afternoon 3:30, if you walked through the office, which almost every one did, this is what you were greeted with. Our Administrators, Mr. P (Asst. Principal), Cristie (Principal) and Lori (Counselor). They sat back by Mr. P's office and cheered whenever a person walked to my office to turn in their end of the year check list.

For the next three days it will only be the Administrative staff here at school. No students and Teachers optional. Then Cristie and I will work a compressed work week, and take Fridays off. It's going to be heaven. When your job consists of serving 80 people, all day long, it takes a lot out of you. I will be able to complete entire tasks without interruption. That's unheard of during the normal school year.

Judi will be back for the next 3 afternoons. She'd taken last week off. Her youngest, Crystal had Graduated from High School, and all her family from Michigan had come down. They had a huge party Saturday for her. Rosie and I went up for that. Judi lives about an hour North of us. Almost to Oklahoma. We were only able to stay for a little while, but long enough to ride the Mechanical Bull and eat some fantastic Italian food.

Yes, that's me.... but that's NOT my hat. Of course Crystal rode it first, then a brave cousin. Then some guys. Then it blew the breakers on the house a few times. None of the adult women would ride it until I did. Crystal stuck to me like glue, begging, pleading, pushing me to ride it. "I know you want to... I can see it in your eyes." was the last thing she said to me before I handed her my camera and phone.

Then Judi rode. It looks like we were riding some sort of bounce house. But I promise there is a mechanical bull in there. Back in the day when John Travolta was riding these, we didn't have a bounce house to put them in. We'd drag home old matrices we'd find on the side of the road. Before the matrices we only had the ground. You'd learn to stay on better. And this goofy thing didn't even have a riggin on it! It had a piece of rebar for a handle! I had to have a glove. It was good that Jody wasn't there, he gets really nervous when I get a wild streak. (The last time I had a wild streak, I fractured my pelvic bone.)

Sun's coming up.... time to get ready for work. Ya'll have a good week, hope it's a short one like mine!

What a woman! I guess riding a mechanical bull is nothing after working in an elementary school though.

I'm already through with school. Are you jealous? The last two days were good though. I know what you mean about completing a task in one sitting.

Enjoy your day! (You really get up early!)

I am a bit jealous... but I sure got a lot done today. Yes, I'm up at the crack of midnight every day.

No, it really isn't. That was Darin's hat. I'm not a hat person. I do have a huge visor that looks like a cowboy hat. It doesn't have a crown. So it's just the band and brim, my hair sticks out the top. If I just have to wear a hat I'll wear one of Jolea's. I think she has 4...
