What do you do when you get in a limo? You immediately start gathering evidence!
Judy and I.
Jen and Nita.
Just like bar hopping in the old days. Well, not exactly.
Julian drove us to downtown Houston where all Nita's friends had told her we needed to hit bar after bar after bar. The first bar was dead, I mean the help hadn't even arrived, so we walked down a block to the next one.
I knew this was going to be a let down when I could have sworn I saw Jeffrey
Do you remember that part in the John Wayne movie The Cowboys, when two of the young cowboys ride up to the wagon of 'women' and one of the boys gets really embarrassed and kind of squeals and rides away? Well that's almost the way this turned out. One young man was quiet embarrassed that she'd heard him say "oooohh look, the Cougars are here!"
Back in the bus, Judy gave Julian directions to the next destination. We were headed back to West Houston, we just weren't downtown kind of girls.
Now this was our kind of place. Indoor dance floor AND outdoor dance floor
This guy got around.... he and his friend loved our "moves." That's because he wasn't even born when his momma was doing those moves on the dance floor. Jennifer can still clear a dance floor and I promised her I'd not post any pictures
We ended our evening having breakfast at I-Hop and when country comes to town and ends up at I-Hop in a limo, we take the driver in to have breakfast too. That's just rude to leave him outside in the car.
That was just Friday night! We still had all day Saturday...
... which we just hung out at Nita's, ran around doing nothing, had lemon pie and Sock it To Me cake for breakfast, ate at Smash Burgers for lunch
We stayed at the house Saturday night
The next morning Judy and I had to hit the road back to Tyler but not before an early lunch at Pappadeaux's for Cajun food.
What a wonderful way to celebrate our birthdays. Judy's is in the first week of May and mine in the 3rd. We are already planning for next year, maybe closer to the sea!
Hmmm, Nita's birthday is the first of November, if I remember correctly Jennifer's is in December.... we may have to do this again in the Fall!
