I'll post some picture instead, ommmmm
I finished the hat I was knitting for my sister-in-law Di.
It's got a lacy band on it, kinda a Rasta shape to it.
We met Michael and Di for dinner last Sunday night. Di was having her third chemo the next day. Michael was starting tests, he has been diagnosed with Prostate cancer.
I finished the shawl on the big Tri-loom.
Here's what it looks like on, whoops!
And the back.
The front.
That's it for now. Have a good week!

Lovely, lovely shawl and how sweet the hat is.
Sending healing thoughts Di and Michael's way.
The shawl looks great! Have you tried the floor loom yet?
The shawl turned out great! I love it! How'd you finish the edge and not end up with fringe? I love that! :-)
Thanks ladies! M, they just keep saying that they will be healing together, thanks for the well wishes.
Trudi, no I haven't even thought about trying it. I don't know where to begin. The one person that could give me lessons has just returned from Hawaii.
Cheryl, the weaving is pretty much self binding the way it's a continuous loop. If you've seen one with fringe around the edges, they were added before the shawl was taken off the loom. The top edge is bound off by chaining one loop into the next because the top loops are rather larger than the edges.
Love it... after you blog about it I started to research the net... looks like such a great way to start weaving.... maybe next year!
The shawl is adorable! By the way, so is your haircut.
I could see you making something on this Sigga.
Thanks Meol.
You made a pant suit in 7th grade?! OMH!!!!!!!
The last complication I need in my life is something that requires more than 1 thread. Therefore a serger is not in my future.
Look at that shawl, you have skillz :)
You are looking so cool in this outfit..Thanks a lot for sharing...
tee hee Red, I think I learned to sew about the time I started school. I have vague memories of stitching on gingham squares, using the plaid of the gingham to gauge my stitches and keep them straight.
Thanks tadalis!
That hat is AWESOME!!
Plus you look cute in handcuffs...
Thanks Heather, those handcuffs are the ones that I keep in the drawer of my credenza with all the confiscated knives and toy guns.
Catching up! Love it! You're so talented...and love what you have been doing to your blog...I think I might get back to mine....maybe...just maybe! LOL
