The flowerbeds are disastrous. We've had so little rain, so we have to use the soaker hoses a lot. The soakers are up against the foundation and the flowerbeds surround the house so they get water when the rest of the yard goes pretty much without. We have been on stage 2 water rationing all summer. We can only water twice a week, early in the morning and late at night. We usually do it on Saturdays. Jody waters a lot by hand and that's OK. Just no sprinklers or soakers unless it's our designated days of Wednesday and Saturday.
But the weeds keep on growing like.... weeds. So I'm taking off this Friday to work in the yard. It started raining last night and has rained off and on all night and most of this afternoon. Those weeds are going to be HUGE! But the yard will green up nicely.
I'm planning on that little job taking me all of about an hour. I'm fast, and I don't really have that much to do other than go through with my 'finger hoe' and yank everything out.
Then I may go shopping. I'm really sick of my clothes. But I hate shopping, so if I get a personal shopper between now and Friday morning, I'll be staying home to knit.
I have got to finish this sweater, I'm getting tired of it and I haven't even finished the front, much less the sleeves! I may have to get a knitting machine for this fine yarn... it just takes too dang long to knit up. Then I have the Aran sweater that I started last winter and I want to make my niece a pair of socks. I also have Di's hat to finish but that won't take long if I'll just sit still long enough.
I also have something on the 7ft. tri-loom. I'm not crazy about the yarn but I'm determined to finish it. I'll show you that on Wednesday for the WIP.
I'll also show you Jody's latest purchase. He says he's going to use it. Ha! We'll see about that. It'll be fun. I can just see him sitting there using this thing. Cracks me up just to think about it!
See ya on Wednesday!

Unfinished projects? You have come to the right place!
To bad we don't live closer, we could set a time and get together to stitch and ...... :)
Sorry about your lack of water, we've had more than our fair share. Want me to bring you some?
....yeah Red, we work at a school, we'd have lots to discuss.
Glad that Texas is finally getting some much needed rain. Shame it is coming so much at a time. Hate the flooding.
I've learned how to not have unfinished knitting projects. Don't start. That's my theory anyway. (Glad that you ignor my advice.) :)
Have fun Friday!
Isn't it amazing how well some weeds can grow without water?! I love the yellow daisy!
