So my work in progress is this....
It's not easy... takes some concentration and red wine intake is discouraged. Not just because it is white but, just because.
Here's a closer look. The pattern is from Vogue American Collection, His and Hers Pullovers. I'm using Reynolds Chesapeak, it's a 70% wool and 30% cotton yarn from Aunt Shorty's stash. I've always loved this yarn... I'm using it doubled stranded to get the correct gauge. It's gonna be YUMMY!!!
In other news, I took a trip out to Jacob's Reward Farm last week before the end of Spring Break. Jody had repaired Cindy's mandolin and I was returning it and wanted to see the puppies. When I got there she told me I was the winner of a contest that she had held.... check this out.
These are the things I won, a pin and some chicken poop
Every time you plan something like that around here we end up having a week long period rain. You'll end up prepping your deck over and over for stain for weeks and then Winter sets in, so you just put it off till next Spring and then the cycle repeats.
In Gracie news.... she's discovered the oak tree in the front yard... it's bigger and it has leaves to hide behind. Woo hoo!
She loves the porch. She thinks she's a lioness watching over her domain.
This weekend I'll post my review of something so yummy you'll want to take a road trip to the hill country of Texas. See you Sunday!

Your sweater project looks very involved but very cool! I can see why wine intake would not be a good idea. lol
"Chicken Poop Lip Balm"??!! Yuck! lol
I sure wish I lived close enough to visit Jacob's Reward farm. I read their blog (thanks to you) and it looks like they have a lot of great events!
I'm still waiting for warmer weather to plant my herbs. Every time I think winter is over it comes back! Ugh! I'm getting a little tired of it.
You haven't even posted about the "something so yummy" in Texas Hill Country and I already want to go! I love it there!!! Can't wait to see your post!
I so want to have a herb garden - maybe when I get the greenhouse...(ie in my dreams). Love the jumper!
Thanks girls! lol, when we were little and we'd have chapped lips, my dad would tell us he could cure them and keep us from licking them by putting chicken poop on them. Who would have thought that they would start making lip balm and calling it that. And to be honest with you.... it (the lip balm) tastes like crap! It's got a very metallic taste and it's very sticky. I almost glued my lips together (Jody thought that was find.) I think there may be something wrong with it. I was sad... I wanted to be seen in public using 'chicken poop' on my lips.
That sweater is unbelievable! I LOVE it! Uh yeah, would have to be beyond sober for that complicated of an item. Wow...!
I have herbs in a pot - rosemary, something and something. The rosemary is good. Just not sure what the other two are...
First of all, Texas Hill Country? I'm ALWAYS ready. Especially now that I am farther away.
Your knitting is amazing. Love the pattern and texture.
I'm not sure that I am going to be able to get past the chick poo though. I can't believe you actually put it on to be able to taste it. EW!!!!
Grace is beautiful!!!!
LOL MeOL... see on the label of the box, it says "contains NO chicken poop." It's got all the same ingredients that regular chapstick has, only it has citrus oil and lavender oil that could have a taste to it. But I'm weird... I can taste things in lipstick so I rarely use it. Burt's Bees is my favorite brand.
