WIP Wednesday

Now that the shawl for Di is finished and she loves it, time to move on to the next WIP.

Socks!  I'm a horrible knitting blogger, I have no idea what kind of yarn this is or what colorway.  I had started this as a two at a time on circular needles, but it's really hard to knit two at a time when you only knit socks when you are on the road in a car or you are sitting anywhere but at home on the couch.  It's a pain to wrestle those two balls of yarn. The pattern is a checker board.  I'm just messing around here, nothing special. Just some socks to wear with jeans.
Here's what Jeff looked like about 10 days ago when he zoomed off to Florida to surprise Jolea.  Who knows what he looks like now after spending over a week with his sister.  Can you imagine riding a motorcycle across Florida? How about from Key West to Dallas?  1500 miles!!!   Oh the agony.  The vibration in you hands.... and other places.  He's supposed to start home tomorrow.

I'll try to get Di to send a picture of her in her shawl.  She's a much better photographer than I am.

I know NOTHING about yarn, but I do know that the colors are great. I like those a lot.

Many moons ago, I dated a guy who had a motorcycle and I loved Sunday afternoons tooling around on the back of one of those. Now, 1500 miles on a motorcycle just sounds painful. :)

God. When do we finally set our clocks back?!?
That pic of Jeff reminds me of my brother (not that he'd ever ride that far just to visit me: hell, he lives an hour away and I rarely see him).
I still wear your socks almost every day. I love them! I love the story behind them!!

You are brilliant... I saw a woman knitting two arms on circulars the other day - was very impressed... mind you she works as a receptionist and hence can have two balls of wool on the floor. I am still trying to work out the knitting and driving thing.. I guess there are no laws about that. As for driving a motor bike 1500 miles... that's just silly.
