Fall Back

(Did you set your clock back?  I haven't yet.)

So let's fall back and pick ourselves up and look back at the week. I'll just list some things...
  • Last Sunday, Jeff zoomed off on his motorcycle, wearing a good sized backpack, to catch a ride to Tallahassee. He decided to go surprise Jolea in Key West.  I couldn't say anything last weekend because that would have spoiled everything. He's not back yet.
  • I put in loads of comp time this past week. I felt like a banker, not because of the hours, because of all the money counting.
  • I met the contractor Wednesday so that he could measure our counter tops, we're getting new!!!
  • I forgot to post WIP Wednesday, oh well.  I was still working on Di's shawl.
  • I forgot to post FP Friday, I finished Di's shawl and I'll show you pictures next Friday.
  • The washer started acting up again Friday night, that's why I didn't do a FP Friday post.
  • The washer tried to sabotage us again yesterday morning.  Thank goodness I wasn't out on the deck.
  • We went to Freddie's annual Fronchard Stew Pot Fiasco yesterday.  Excellent weather, great music, lots of fun people, great food.  It was a beautiful day.  And not near as cold as it was last year.
  • We made the decision that we'll shop for a new washer today.  Why can't they make the 'major purchase' things like washers and dryers the way they used to?  Why does everything have to be so disposable?  This washer is only about 4 years old!  Maybe 6 years at the most.  I'm going to write the date on the back of this new one with a Sharpie.
  • We really need to get Gracie's shots today, Jeff was supposed to do that because she's technically HIS cat.  I have a rule in this house, the kids may have always thought it applied to babies but it applies to animals too.  It's the "you caught it, you clean it" rule.  So far, guess who has litter box duty?  And guess who has the most scratches up and down his arms and on his inner thighs?  lol that didn't come out right but I'm going to leave it.  The bigger she gets the more she digs in with the claws.

I'll post picture as soon as I can figure out how to get them turned around, you'll get a crick in your neck if I post them now.  I haven't quiet mastered iPhone picture saving and transferring.  As for that Fall Back thing... made ya look didn't it?

We (in California) don't set our clocks back until next weekend. Is Texas on a different schedule or are you just having a hard time getting up in the morning?

LOL I guess I'm in a high speed wobble. I was ready to get that over with. Dang it, now it'll be light when the little heathens knock on the door.

Hey, it's not April Fool's Day but you really got me with the time change. I thought I had lost it.

Love the name Gracie for the cat. Isn't it cool how kids must save these animals from certain death and then they dump them on their parents. I guess our parents put up with their share of strays (animals and peoples) so it must be only fair.

Use that comp time up Girl. I had to leave a ton of mine. I hated that. Have a good week. Thanksgiving and Christmas vacations are coming.
