It's Wednesday again.... I usually post during the weekend. But as my Mother-in-law always says, "no news is good news."
We did get a call from Jolea Monday night. She was in Key West, the boat is docked in the Naval Ship Yard, which isn't all that exciting, I think she'd much rather be at one of the more public docks so she can hook up with her buddies. She's still working on the Schooner until she leaves for New Haven and the Quinipak in a week or so. She sounded good and chattered like an excited school child about all the crew and the fun they had been having, besides all the hard work they do on the boat. She had sanded and varnished 100ft. of railing on Monday. She's such a good little varnish monkey! She's ready to put this one behind her and move on to the next adventure.
Jeff has been working long hours lately, it's almost like he doesn't even live here. Poor kid. The night after he moved back, he made the comment "it's so much nicer coming home to this house than that other empty place, it's homey over here." They are trying to finish up a project to be sent to Russia, I wonder if he'll volunteer to go set it up?
I went out on the deck this morning to drink my coffee. It seems like it's been forever since I did that. I love sitting out there early in the morning, listening to the birds and watching the Mexican Freetail bats flitter around. It's too bad I don't know how to operate my camera.

Glad to hear Jolea's safe and sound.
I really like the new banner photo, very homey looking back yard you've got. Only problem, the smaller red type is unreadable against it. You might experiment with other colors, make it bolder or outlined. Just a suggestion.
Great that all is well with you - looks like a big difference - all your snow has melted - and as can be expected its been bucketing down now!
Thanks Bliss, I do have trouble with that blog description. I can't seem to find a template I like. I need to work on that. I need Jolea to come home and design something for me.
Sigga, it is a huge difference in the weather from just two weeks ago. We've even had some highs in the 80's.
You've got to figure out the camera and take some bat pix.
Brian, the bats are really fast, by the time you realize what you're seeing, they are gone. I would love to put a bat house on the corner of the neighbors house so we can get a good look at them.
