No witty title....

Seems like it's a bullet the post time of the year. I'm taking a lead from several other blogs to bullet because of all the different directions this post will be heading.

  • School started, the only thing different going on other than the previous 3 weeks, is that there are kids everywhere. And where there are kids there are Parents. This is the honeymoon period. The kids are studying the teachers to see just how far they can push them. I look for us to start seeing some of the more mischievous kids in the office within the next couple of weeks.
  • Jody's job is going well. He seems to like it OK, and the drive isn't too bad. He leaves a little later than he did when he was working in Carrolton and still gets home before I do in the afternoons. He mentioned to someone last night that he is feeling better with everyday. I can tell because our yard looks better.
  • Jeff is staying busy at work. He's sort of the Golden Child over there so he is sent out of town at least a couple of times a week. That's not a bad thing... it allows him to gain some overtime and when he asks to take a day or two off, he usually gets it. He sold the little pit bike and purchased a BIG dirt bike. I think it's a 500???? All I know is that it shakes the house when he starts it in the garage and he said he has to be wearing his MX boots, he can't start it wearing sandals like he could the pit bike or his other bike. So he's been spending a lot of time working on it and off running around on the smaller bike here around town.
  • As for Jolea, you know about as much as I do, maybe more.
  • I'm almost finished with the sweater, I could probably finish it today if I didn't need to finish laundry and go to Sam's for groceries. I really need to go clothes shopping, my school wardrobe is getting to the point that I'm thinking of wearing a School Shirt everyday like a uniform. Now that it's cooler maybe we can make a run down to New Braunfels, I always find good stuff down there. It was 65F here this morning!!! That doesn't always mean it will be cooler down there, but it's worth a try.
Just one last thing..... is it a sunrise or a sunset?

Have a great week!

Considering the time you usually get up, I'm going to say sunrise. Whatever, it is beautiful. Generally I am too busy trying to pull it together to get to enjoy a sunrise, but I love our sunsets around here.

We have already had a cell phone taken up and a discipline issue sent down. DR was a frequent flyer from last year.

If you don't get the Star Telegram, go on line and read the article about cell phones in school. Lots of money going through. Pretty interesting.

Great pictures and I wish I could have been there too! I was going to say Sunrise but the lights are on in the house so I suspect it is Sunset. OK - tell us>>>>

The kids haven't gone back to school here yet. I think that could be tomorrow (it's a Bank (national) holiday here today).

You haven't mentioned any bad weather and if that was sunrise then it looks like you were about to get some (at least, that's the way it works here). So I'm going for... sunset.

It is a sunset. I know I usually have pictures of sunrises, we can't see the sunsets that well from our house because of all the big trees. I was on my way to the Pharmacy the other evening and this one rivaled the ones we used to see in West Texas. The whole sky was purple and orange. Didn't last but a few minutes, by the time I got pulled over in a parking lot it was almost dark.

The skies look like that here too. Sunrise and sunset. Not quite beautiful though because it's raging uncontrollable fire. Ash is falling everywhere and we happen to be having a heat wave to boot. Lucky us!

Where have you been? Do I need to send you an "office pass"? :)

lol, as my Mother-in-law would say "no news is good news." Not much going on around here.
