I'm a bit worried, if they tell him the cancer is still there, he may tell them he's not coming back. No more chemo and forget about the radiation he's done. He's very stubborn like that. Last night he said something about quiting treatment and I told him that was STUPID! In essence I was saying he was stupid, which I never say because he's far from being a stupid person, he's probably the smartest person I know and I'm constantly learning from him. But quiting treatment when you are half way through is just STUPID! We're not going to talk about it this week, at least I'm not. That way we won't have any negative vibes moving around.
I don't agree with the way Cancer treatment is done, it's not right how they make you sicker than you were when you found out you had the disease, and they should be trying harder than anything to find a more humane way to treat it. I would be the type person to try alternative treatments over conventional, I would be the person that says "cut it out and let's see what happens."
We'll just have a nice calm week, hoping for a good outcome along with hoping for a phone call for Jolea. She's registered with every crew agency out there, had a couple of interested emails and was supposed to get a call back yesterday from a Captain she had talked to earlier in the week. He'll call today... I know he will, he and the crew were spending a few days in Charleston... they'll be sobering up today and he'll call. She's had a nibble on a job in Thailand too.
While she waits on calls, she spends the day watching The Food Network or riding my bike (and playing the guitar). That means we get to have experimental food for dinner!!! Oh JOY! This week we had Fried
She made quiet a mess and had to wear rubber gloves to keep from having cheesy goo all the way up her arms. Not worth the mess in our opinion, Mac n' cheese, it ain't broke so don't fix it....
I don't know how much longer I can keep this blog up... we are having some major computer problems. For about two weeks now the far left side of the keyboard has been stuck. If I type an A I get AS, if I tab it locks the caps asnd aso on... asee thast? I didn't go basck asnd tsake the exzxztras lettersa out. What a pain! Jeff did some research and said it's common with Dell laptops and we'll have to send it in for repair. Gresat!@ I think we should before Jolea leaves town with her laptop... the Grand Poobah computer (desk top) has Chicken pox or the Ebola virus or something so contagious we don't go near it. I need to send it to the High School for them to decontaminate it.
We're addicted... why is it humans get so addicted to things so easily? First it was an apple, now it's a computer. I think there's a pun in there somewhere@!
But these are minimal worries... I'm sure there are many people that would trade places with us... life is good. I can always resort to sending huge emails (from school) and hour long phone calls again. By the way... do you know what living in blimbo is? It's a blurry limbo (in other words, a type-o that works out.)

Fingers crossed for the results next week.
I can imagine what it's like for you over there and can only hope for the best.
Re: the puter, why not just buy a new keyboard and plug it in.
Sounds like you've spilt wine on it or something. ;)
When I did that to my comptuer[a few hundred times] the keyboard would go all weird.
Yep, I don't know what I'd do without this link to the outside world this year.
I panicked terribly when my puter went down in early June. I had to by another right NOW. This is why I have a crappy Japanese OS heavy lump of uh, this computer is too big for a life of travel and I screwed up and wasted a lot of money because I didn't have the patience to shop around.
I guess it's the equivalent of being a crack addict; you do stupid things to get your fix.
I think before I leave I will count my losses and trade this in for a much cheaper and portable one.
In a way, it's been worth it though. $60 a month for all my entertainment ain't bad, but my eyesight has suffered.
I'm going to buy some of those odd eyesight correction glasses today. Black plastic things with little holes in the lenses to peer through. I'll blog em. You can get them for a buck.
I love your updates. I look forward to your weekly update as much as I look forward to the News Quiz.
:))
I SERIOUSLY JUST SUGGESTED THAT! I went into the other room and yanked the keyboard out of the ancient computer and tried to fix her up but it didnt work. it doesnt connect with a usb jack its some ancient round plug. hahah we are cracking up about that, YOU ARE A THOUGHT STEALER! j/k We were just looking at Google Earth at San Carlos and mom wants to know if you were google earthing us and could see us... we are waving...
Thinking about you for tomorrow.
