So I cut the back and sleeves off to make a halter looking piece. |

Then I ran the Serger over all the raw edges. |

Turned under the raw edges and top stitched them down. |

That's so cute! What a great idea! I've been trying to make things with some old shirts and shirts that are too small for my hubby too. I made some drawstring bags with a couple of them. I used them for shoe bags in my suitcase for the trip. I have a really nice blue plaid one that my daughter mentioned making an apron with. I like the one you made. Hmmm...maybe I'll try that! :-)
This makes me think that maybe I should buy a sewing machine - again! I sell them when I move on boats or into RV's! But I used to love sewing.
