His former room mate is now living there and he had been telling Jeff that he should come see the sights. Check out the ruins, Machu'Picchu and some of the lesser known places around Lima.
Last Tuesday Jeff headed to Lima on an over night flight. He'll only be gone until next Monday and he hasn't sent many pictures. Too busy I guess.
He checked in tonight and said that they were eating Guinea Pig at a restaurant in Huancuyo. He's off to see the ruins of Machu' Picchu tomorrow. He's had an awesome time in Ica. Here are a few of the pictures he has sent and I hope he'll let me download a few more for you to see when he gets home.
The top picture is Jeff (in the beard) and Thurston. They were sand-surfing. The second picture is Ica, Peru, an honest to goodness oasis in the dunes. They were staying in a hostel in Ica and spending their free time riding up the dunes in dune buggies to surf down. He's having a great time.
Meanwhile back in Sedona, Jolea is working and wishing she had someone to go snow skiing with. They've had snow for the past 3 days and she can't find anyone to go 45 minutes away to the mountains with her. That's gotta be tough when she's been longing to snow ski for the past 10 years.
Y'all have a great week, we're 3 weeks away from Spring Break!!!!

Wow! What a cool adventure! That's wonderful that he knows someone there to explore and have fun with. Those pictures are awesome!
Poor Jolea! That has to be frustrating. It's not as much fun to go alone. I hope she finds someone that wants to go skiing soon, while the snow is so good.
Guinea Pig! I have eaten guinea pigs! Not something I mention too much, though. They.....taste like chicken, hehe. I was pregnant with my son the last time I ate one....my son finds that disturbing :)
Thank you for your comment - I am glad to find your blog! Now off to read....
He's sent a few more pics today that I'll post this weekend. He has met so many people on his travels that he literally has friends all over the place. If he doesn't know someone, his sister probably does.
Debra, glad you popped in. Jeff wasn't too impressed with the guinea pig, I guess he couldn't help thinking about our pets from when he was younger. He compared it to duck, his friend who is from Peru said it was like eating a rat.
Stop back in! See you over at your tiny place.
Your kids are such jet-setters. That is so cool. What a far flung place to visit!
I know! I want to go there so badly.
