WiP Feb.9

FAT yarn + FAT needles = FAsT work.  I started these socks this morning around 7 after straightening up the kitchen... cuz I'm home again today.  Sleet started around 4:30 this morning. That makes a total of 5 days this year!  Amazing!  I may have the pair finished by tonight.

And now a word from our sponsor:

Me:  "Gracie!  Get off the table!!!"
 Gracie:  "You talkin' ta me?"
Me:  "Gracie... you're gonna get a squirt of water!"
Gracie:  "And you gonna get a smack in da head!"
Doesn't Jody lay a nice fire before he goes off to work?

Have a good one and I hope you're warm where ever you are.

I love projects with fat yarn and fat needles. So fun! Can't wait to see your new socks! Gracie is so cute! And, oooh...that fire looks so warm and toasty! Looks like you're in for a cozy, fun day at home. :-)

Ha, this cat is a mess! She's acquired an appetite for yarn! She first gnawed the yarn on my last pair of socks, separating the sock from the ball. Then when I laid down the Aran yarn last weekend, she got in the bag and had a good foot of it in her mouth when I caught her. Today she started gnawing on the yarn for these socks. Oh how I hate having to knit with slobbery yarn.

Then just a few minutes ago she started gnawing on a shawl that I just mended. Maybe that's why I had to mend it, she'd gnawed a hole in it. Ya, want her? I think she'll fit nicely in one of those flat rate boxes.

love the socks. Amazing weather you guys are having. Here the weather has been in the plusses, then went back below freezing - resulting in ice on the footpaths = me falling over again.... Not good, so I was home today giving the bung leg a bit of a rest... Hope the weather starts to improve for you!

Sigga, Thanks, they are really comphy. This is pretty much typical Texas weather, just not so cold and the snow storms are usually months apart rather than days. I slipped and fell last week but didn't venture out yesterday. I laid on the ground last week laughing, I'm sure it would have been a funny sight. We're supposed to be up in the 70s by next Wednesday!!! I can't wait. Hope you feel better soon.
