I'm not cussing that groundhog this year.

Get this.... 11 days ago we had a high of 26 degrees with wind chills in the single digits, Friday it was 82!!!  Yesterday not quiet as warm, but it was in the upper 70's, kinda overcast and breezy.

Gracie and I attempted sitting out on the deck for coffee.

But the neighbor's back yard was a bit of a turn-off.  She has a 18 month old German Shepard and a 11 month old 1/2 Chocolate Lab 1/2  Weimaramer.  I think every stuffed animal that her daughters had saved for the past 20 some odd years have met their demise.

Gracie still enjoyed herself.
"so many fings to wook at oot hea!"
"ah tink ah kin weach dat burd up deah.  Yeah, dat one dats makin all deh noys... dat big blu one."

After lunch I picked Dawn up (with the top down on the car) and we drove out to Jacob's Reward Farm.  Dawn had wanted to go out to take pictures of the animals and I had a little gift to drop off to her.  Since it wasn't too hot or too cold or too muddy, it was a perfect day for it.
But Dawn set her camera down as we were leaving her house and we ran off and forgot it... so she had to use mine.  It took a little time to get used to the zoom on mine, because it's a rinky-dink Kodak and you need a PhD to run it push here dummy.

 I said it was breezy.
 The Jacobs
Cindy said that they would be getting their yearly shearing toward the end of March.
The chicks were out doing their thing.

Hen pecking.  You can bop on over to the Jacob's Reward Farm blog by clicking here to keep up with everything that's going on and to check out my donation to the farm.

Although there are a couple of cold fronts headed our way, I don't think the weather is going to be quiet as bad as it was a couple of weeks ago.  I do believe Spring is just around the corner.

Hope y'all have a great week, I'm off to have a piece of Pammie Cake.  The new oven works great!!!

Love the photos- are the Jacobs sheep? They look like my uncles - four horns and very intelligent...

Hope for your sake that Spring has arrived and that you won't have any more snow till next winter!

Yeah, Jacob sheep, they supposedly have really nice fleece, kinda nasty right now.

I hope you guys get more snow... it worries me when the places that are supposed to have snow and cold have milder temps than we do here in Texas.

I would be talking to the neighbor about that yard.
You didn't tell me that you got a new oven, great.

I'm with your sis about that neighbor's yard. Don't you wish you still had the yellow roses?

Gracie is such a pretty kitty! Love the coloring. Mine is a Himalayan and is like that but with long hair.

Love the sheep and hen pics. I never knew I really liked chicken until I went to the Fort Worth Stock Show. They can be so beautiful. Who knew?

I'm so-o-o-o ready for Spring!

Yeah Nita, the oven was a surprise Saturday morning. A late Valentines gift. We needed it.

MeOL... I have said something about the yard, but they don't really care and in Allen, you can do anything you want in your back yard as long as is doesn't stink too bad. The yellow rose bush was on the opposite side of the yard, it blocked the neat and tidy neighbors. We just need a solid wood fence.
