When I came home Sunday (more about my Sabbatical later) I found a letter from Julia. Remember her? I sent her my Barbie collection. I'm thinking she used all her favorite colors in creating this lovely thank you note.
Can you read it? It says:
Dear Mrs. Cruzan,
Thank you for giving me yore
tee hee she's a pirate in the making Barbies. Now I have twenty. I love them very much.
Thank you, thank you. Love Julia
Awwww, she's so sweet.....

That's so sweet of you to send your Barbies to Julia! And, how sweet to recieve this beautiful thank you note from her.
She used her very best handwriting, too. It's WAY better than the practice sheets she did during this past year of kindergarten. This was important stuff! Thank you again, so much, for sending the Barbies. They are getting along so well with all the others in the family. :)
That's so awesome Judith! I still have all my Barbies...I was saving them for my mini me...but now since I'm not going to have a mini me, I don't know what to do with them...I guess I'll keep them. Maybe I'll play with them again when I'm senile in the old folks home.
A-O, I felt really good about sending them to Julia.
Hevver, I think my childhood Barbies are in my Niece's closet. Jolea didn't want them, she said they were scary. I don't really think my niece wanted them, she just didn't want to argue with Nita and I when we gave them to her "For Me???? Gee thanks, I think...."
Jayne, I'm so glad the girls are getting along. That's what I always liked about them, they were very quiet and got along will with others.
This is such a heartwarming story, Judith.
Everyone has to pop in there from time to time, besides seeing the fantastic food that Jayne makes, the things the kids get into are hilarious. Like last year around this time when Julia cut her bangs off, almost to the scalp, just before school started. It was so funny, and she was still just as cute as she could be.
Not only am I happy to hear that she's enjoying your Barbie collection, I'm thrilled that kids still write thank you notes.
That's because she has an awesome Mom....
