Yadda Yadda

Not much going on here.  HOT! I think today was the hottest day of the year so far. 91 around 4:00 this afternoon with 47% humidity!!!!  STEAMY.....  and now we have Mosquitoes!!!!  It just get better and better.  There's also a Pterodactyl living in our tree out front. We know this by the size of the droppings it leaves behind.

Jody is still working on the Fronchard Project.  We had a slight hold up not from the Pterodactyl although I tripped over something he left behind..  Our former next door neighbor delivered the river rock and some flagstone that he had left over from a project at his house.  The new neighbors said that an Uncle did stone work and Jody thought he'd see if that guy could make a bid on getting more stone. Turned out he wanted to pour concrete.  He wasn't a stone man after all.  So now we're back to having Adam get more flagstone for us.  Problem is Adam only has Mondays to deliver rock and stone, all other days are spent doing his landscaping up-keep jobs.  So he'll drop off stone tomorrow while we're at work.  Then Jody will be back at it laying and arranging the stones tomorrow night.  As soon as he's done, I'll put in the plants I've bought to go into the edging planters.

He will want to finish because we're supposed to have a wave of Thunderstorms Thursday and continue Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  We'll believe it when we see it.  It's the Weather Channel's way of getting ratings during Tornado Season.   In the meantime, he has put some stepping stones just outside the back door where I have wanted the area covered for a REALLY long time.  It's were the faucet and hose are located and it tends to get pretty wet and muddy there too.

That's about it on the progress of the yard.

I heard from Jolea yesterday, everything is good on the Liberty... I know, she needs to update the blog.  I think she's a little busy.  Long tiring days. She did send me these flowers for my birthday last Monday.  Blogger is being difficult and won't let me load the picture I'll do it later.

I texted text, text-ed, textd I never know Jeff today, like I do every Sunday, to see if he wanted to eat dinner with us.... he answered back "I would but I can't I'm in Vegas!"   Okie Dokie then.  He had mentioned that he and some friends were thinking about going to Vegas.   Just like when he moves out, if he says he's going to do something, I guess he's going to do it.

Only 9 more days of school, 8 more for me with the kids, then 8 days without kids and teachers, of those I'll take 3 days off.  No... I'm not counting down or anything.  13 more days!!!!

Keep counting. I remember the days of the countdown. I still miss teaching but I remember the countdown.

By the way, Howdy!

How exciting...your summer vacation is almost here! :-D How nice that you're getting warm temps. It's still cold here...more like winter. In fact, we almost got stuck in the snow yesterday.

Howdy Brian, in some ways it's going too fast and in other ways it just drags. We're having 'the changing of the guard' or more like the stepping down of royalty, if you know what I mean. This part is not fun.

Acorn, I'm so ready for warm weather, I'm not a cold weather person. I think I'd go nuts if it were still cold in May. Snow? Did you go to the mountains?

Maja, I was thinking the same thing about this year. It was unbelievable how fast it went by.
