Nita's boss let her leave early Thursday (I think she had a mid-life Vet Tech melt down and they started fearing for the health of the animals) so she was able to drive up and be here for dinner.

Dinner was great, Jeff came over and ate with us and used the internet. Nita took pictures of all of us lined up on the laptops. Too bad Jolea wasn't
here, we have one for everyone, we even have extras when Jeff brings his own.

I was cleaning the kitchen in these pictures, Nita was trying out my camera, it's almost the same as the one she received for Christmas.

Nita and I went shopping Friday, but for some reason we forgot to take pictures. We could have had a blast in Ikea 'living it up' in all those make believe apartments they have set up. We had lunch at La Madeline, mmm love that place.

We went shopping again Saturday morning, in McKinney on the square. Nita was shopping for a small desk and had hoped to find an antique-ish one to use as a computer desk. She didn't have any luck, but we had a good time.

Later that evening we played with our cameras, trying to take pictures of ourselves, I'm not going to show you those.... Nita kept having problems with her "Fire Marshal Bob" neck and I am in desperate need of some sun. It's been a long winter and I'm rather washed out. Jody was ready for us to go to bed so he'd be free to play the mandolin without interruptions.
This is what happens when you don't know that the little button beside the on/off switch turns the flash on and off.
This is a picture of Nita taking a picture of me taking a picture of her... My camera looks just like this one only it's purple.

And then Sunday morning she had to go back to Houston...
We'll do it all again in May.... only I'll go to her house.
Good night all.

Cool! Pictures of y'all! Sounds like you had a good weekend. Enjoy the camera and keep the pics coming!
Yeah, ditto duder.
Also, your cleaning, is my kind of cleaning.
Great photos.. looks like really nice crispy weather that you are having...
You are all too sweet, we look like a bunch of boring yahoos.
lol M... I was putting it away.
The weather was pretty cool on Saturday, in the 50s, we have to keep telling ourselves it's still winter.
Jody looks good!
You look cold...
Hanging out with good friends is just the best. At least you have a really good reason to be tired! Soon you will be TAK tired!
Yeah Heather, Jody does look good, but his neck was sort of swelled over the weekend. It looks a little better now, we hope it was just part of the healing process. He was fried to a crackly crunch after all. Nah, I wasn't cold... that was my sister Nita on the street in the big sweater. That day it was pretty cold and windy.
Me, my sister and I usually have the best of times just hanging out and laughing about goofy stuff.
TAKS... it's a four letter word. It puts me into a panic, do we have snacks, do we have water...? Good grief, it's just a goofy test. I hate that it rules how we do everything, but I guess we have to have a standard.
I love watching kids in candy stores.
I'm not fully following this comment, but Nita and I did go to an old time candy store while in McKinney, we picked up some candy cigarettes and hot dog bubble gum for Jody, pop rocks for one of Nita's friends and she also bought some Clark's Teaberry gum. I think the pack was actually a hold over from the late 60's, it was the hardest gum in the world.
Yup, I hear ya, those four day weekends are exhausting! I have a five day weekend, and sometimes when I get back to work it's for a 9 day rest.
OK, you said in your comment to Heather that you grew up in Odessa. So where do you live now? I grew up in Big Spring - but way before you did - and my best friend's name was Nita. Kool, eh? And - not only that but my camera is almost exactly like your camera!
Hope you are feeling better.
Suzie
LOL, We live North of Dallas now. My brother still lives out in West Texas, otherwise I might not ever get back out there. Do you guys live in Texas? Let me know if you are ever going to see Heather... I've promised her a care package and you could take it for me.
btw... check out the link on the right... the one that says Debi Cate Photo a Day... you'll have memory overload, unless of course you still live out there. She makes it look so pretty I may have to go back for a visit.
Looks like yall had a blast! Wish you guys could come visit me!
I added Debi Cates blog but I sure never saw anything that pretty when I lived in west Texas.
I live in Charleston, SC now - long ways from Texas but I left a big part of my heart there and still have great high school friends living there - they never left.
Have a good one!
