Happy Sunday

Not much to write about today.

I haven't finished any projects, worked on a lot, but not finished.

Jody will go to work for a long time friend tomorrow. He'll be going out of town for three days. Looks like he'll be traveling again. Seems like I remember that he left this end of the industry 10 years ago because of all the travel. Oh well, gotta do what you gotta do. And Jody is really good at what he does.

This will be the first time in over 26 years I have stayed at home alone. I've either always had Jody here or one or both of the kids. I think the last time was when we were first married and he worked a night shift.

I'm not scared or anything, it's just going to feel weird. Hey if someone tried to break in I wouldn't hesitate to shoot them... we have laws in Texas that let us do that. Wouldn't that give me something to write about? I better check to see if Jeff left my pistol here... and the bullets too.

Have a good weekend. We'll be watching the Puppy Bowl on the Animal Planet channel... no football for us. But for now... I'm going out on the deck for the first time this year! It's 47 and climbing.... it's going to be a beautiful day.

OOh ooh. Spray paint 'I just won the lottery' on your garage door and get that gun ready. We need some excitement amidst our blogs.

Are you serious about the Puppy Bowl? What's a Puppy Bowl? It sounds like something I would like to watch!

If the neighbors see Jody's truck gone they will think I'm on a roadtrip again.

The Puppy Bowl is two hours of nothing but puppies running around in a room decorated to look like a football field. They have cameras set up to watch them at all angles. They romp and tear around with all these rubber balls and if they get near the endzone they make a touch down. Then at halftime they have the kittens come out to perform (the puppies are put away) then the second half and more puppies. They also vote the MVP most valuable puppy, this year it was a beagle named Matilda. It's a great napping show, but not near as good as Nascar racing.

If I'd known you were gonna be alone, I would have bought a plane ticket to come see you. We could play cards during the Super Bowl and you could cheat because I don't really remember any card games. Be sure you have those bullets handy, Mamma. They can be essential.

By the way, did you kiss Jody when I told you to? I know you didn't. Scaredy cat.

This was the first Super Bowl I ever watched.... I knitted right through it and since is was a close and exciting game it wasn't so bad. We did flip over to see what the puppies were doing several times. And I'm not a card player... I don't care for games that much. I don't have the patience to wait of people while they make their move.

I like the idea of a puppy bowl.. so much more interesting than all those blokes in all that protective clothing trying to shove each other around a field.

I called him Monday nite around 8 to see how his day went and he said he'd be home in two hours... he'd already fixed whatever it was that was supposed to take 3 days fixing. So I didn't have to stay home alone.

So happy he is healthy enough to go out to a job. Probably a happy switch for him, too. Glad you have your man back.

I watched a bit of the Puppy Bowl, too. I just kept watching and thinking "Is that all there is?" But you had to keep watching...for a while anyway.

Well he's not quiet 100% but they released him for work. And he's not one to go without a paycheck coming in somehow some way.

That's how we felt the first year we watched it... it grows on you. I can do without the Kitten Halftime Show.
