Jody will have his first radiation treatment today. The first of probably 20. So much for going back to work by January 4th. He said the other night he may not be talking until sometime in February. He doesn't talk much now and when he does I have a hard time understanding him... he's 'mumbler'... I know Lyvvie knows what I'm talking about. Maybe I'll start watching those Ozzie Osborne shows... it'll be like a Rosetta Stone class. I'll learn the language of Mumbling... I'll be fluent in it... this could be a new career path for me. I could be a paid translator. Housewives everywhere will pay me to figure out what their husbands are talking about when they have the water running in the sink or the mixer or blender running or their head stuck in a washing machine while the TV is blaring Wahoo Doray (The Grinch...) and he's playing a stringed instrument (and he ain't playing Wsahoo Doray.) I'll be rich!
He's ready for this phase of treatment.... he's got his prescription for the morphine suckers and I'll bring him a lap size white board from school to send me messages on. I've got the car gassed up and I've programed in the route to the wine store. Yeah.... I think were ready.
Hey Maria.... here's a picture of what we had for dinner last night.... these are pork ribs... Baby Back ribs, red beans (cooked in 1 hour thanks to the pressure cooker) and baked potatoes, I swear we must be Irish. Oh and don't forget... you must have a green vegetable... fried dill pickle chips. And I put salsa in my beans.

That looks so delicious. I hope I dream about food tonight.
Nice post. I love it when the Backyard posts.
Yum! Except for the fried dill pickle chips - that doesn't sound very good. Especially at 7:21 in the morning...
I too could use some translation assistance. And also for him and his brother's hearing: "What? Huh? What? Huh?" Jees, get your hearing checked already!
GOOD LUCK TO JODY!
The fried dill pickle chips sounded excellent to me. We eat a lot of dill pickle for some reason... but I have never seen it fried before..
Fried pickle chips are great in the summer with cold beer.
Hokee dokee - but again, it was 7:21 in the morning...
Can you bring some of those when you bring the wine, french roast coffee beans, ummmm and the rest of the stuff on my list?
you can fry pretty much anything we have realized... next fried adventure: pizza.
