(it's really Sunday morning.... 7:30ish)
More ornaments, aren't you excited? It's like being here!

I have been collecting these old fashioned glass kind now for a few years, I'm concentrating on the ones that have a western theme, so here we have a star shape with a bull rider and under it the word Dallas. And a snowman, he's wearing chaps! In the background you can see one I've had for about 15 years, it's a little turquoise Native American wedding vase.
Two of my favorite things, coffee and boots.
This Santa sitting under a palm tree in a swim suit, drinking a fruity beverage represents what we did this past summer.... our trips to the Virgin Islands.
Check out that glass chili pepper back there! It's huge, one of many.
This isn't Jeff's first ornament, I couldn't find his... but it is one of my favorites. I love that picture of him. I think it was from Kindergarten. He had a Nelson smile, now that he's older he has the Cruzan smile. Nelson smile = more like a laugh without sound. Cruzan smile = 'I don't want anyone to know that I'm really having a good time.'
We also have a bird's nest in our tree, which means: Birds are the messengers that bring God's love. Spreading his glory on the wings of a dove. Having a bird's nest in your Christmas tree brings good luck, new fortune and all agree... in finding the nest the tree has been blessed.
We also have a pickle ornament which has something to do with an old German custom, but at our house it just makes Jolea hungry. Speaking of... I'm off to the store for the essentials of Big Breakfast..... brunch. Have a good week!

Those are great! I love how they have stories attached to them.
Is that weird? I can pretty much tell you where or when or how we got every item in our house. By having all this knowledge, will it help keep me from having Alzheimer's? Or bring it on faster? Maybe it only makes me think it's time to get rid of some stuff.
Excellent! It's almost like being there. I can smell the pine and the...is that apple cider I detect? Do ladle me a glass, fair lady. Yes, I would like a cinnamon stick too.
teehee, your more likely to get a Dr. Pepper. But hey, they say it's pretty good hot with lemon.
I love all your ornaments!! And stories! Especially MY MY MY coffee ornament - whhooooo hooooo! So cool that I have an ornament on YOUR tree.
We pulled out our tiny (8-9") tree and all 7 ornaments we brought down with us, and I can tell you who made and/or gave us each one. That is what Christmas is all about!
Wow. How did I miss this post!! My blog is acting up and not renewing stuff.
That aside, wow, great post, lovely stories, I love you guys. Love all your baubles. So personal and lovely.
