First off I had a call from Jeff yesterday. They are fine and were leaving Paris for Germany and the October Fest. You know what this means.... beer steins for Christmas! I hope Jody gets leiderhosen (I tried to spell check...), that would be one more thing on our long list, that our family has in common with the family on the National Lampoon Family Vacation movies. Those movies are my life! I wonder if Jeff took his video camera with him to Europe? As usual Jeff's conversation wasn't very long, "we're fine, walking, been there, going here, lost my driver's license, going to Germany, renting a car." Whoa there Buckwheat! He's renting a car and going to Germany without a license???? What about the Autobaun? This child stomps through life with a 85 lb. lead foot... he's been known to gather a few speeding tickets in the US, and now he's in Germany trying to set a record without a license? Lord help us! He was such a quiet mannerly child.... so unassuming.
Secondly, my cousin Becky and her husband Phillip will be moving into an apartment in League City, TX. That's across the bay bridge from Galveston on the mainland. Don't you know apartments in that area are few and far between... I'm sure their house will have to be rid of mold besides all the soggy furniture and things. I'm glad that they are getting their own place, that helps the stress level so much to have your own place to go home to and not feel like you are invading someone else's home. You know what they say about visitors and fish after 3 days. It's really true. Who in their right mind would keep fish that long? Some of my visitors wouldn't last 3 days either....
It's so nice out here on the deck this time of the morning (except for the neighbor's Jack Russel yapping), this usually sets the tone for my day.... calm and relaxed. I sit out here and blog a little, drink my coffee, go in and get ready for work, hop on my bike, and start my day at the school. This week has been different.... everything at home is the same, but when I get to school... it's like a car wreck on a Bruce Willis movie! I guess because we are very short handed in the office, and our hands are getting shorter by the day. We'll have our hands flapping at the arm pits tomorrow! Half the office staff will be out! Ohmmmmmmm!
Have a good Thursday.

I love your deck.
:)
What happened to the chupacabra? Was it really a Jack Russell in disguise? Oh those funny Jacks - always fooling us!
No, the chupa had to move. Really sad thing... this girl rented the house next door and found out it was about to be sold at auction this Tues. because the owner hadn't made a payment since May! The girl next door was in Apartment Management and she's got the goods to take the owner to court... Stupid owner, she thinks her new husband won't find out she hasn't been making the payment.
Just another one of those instances when some banker put someone in a house they had no business trying to buy. Poor girl, having to move twice in less than 6 weeks.
That dog was really sweet. The Jack Russel is just bored, he's chained up from 5 in the morning until 10 at night. No dog house or nothing.
I don't think Jeff not having a Texas drivers license in Germany is gonna make much of a difference. That would be like someone from Germany showing an Allen cop their German license, the cop's still gonna throw you in jail for no good reason.
Love ya!
