She was leavin' on a jet plane....

Getting her morning pick-me-up and we were off to the airport. Yes, Jolea left for Seattle yesterday morning. After a few delayed flights she made it there around 6:15 our time. She may have already posted on her blog.

What I really wanted to say was.... she had a surprise in her bag. Teee heee Mr. Onigiri went with her to Seattle. Remember the little white bread onigiri she put in my lunch the other day? Well I found it before I left for school Friday morning, and set it on top of the refrigerator to dry out. Then while she was getting ready I slipped him into a baggie and into her suitcase!

I was thinking on my way back to town after dropping her off, what if she calls me and says "mom, I missed my flight... they took me into a little room and shined a bright light in my face and wanted me to explain to them about this suspicious triangle with a face that they had found in my luggage...." But she didn't call about that so... no worries. I'm sure she found it last night when she unpacked. Then again, maybe she didn't unpack, she was headed out to dinner the last I heard from her to bond with the crew. She said she is already having fun, the crew members really like each other and have fun together, unlike the crew on the other mega yacht. And yes Davia, she said is was beautiful there. I guess the only time she's seen mountains was when we went skiing in Ruidoso, New Mexico.

She also said she would NEVER fly again and NOT sit in a window seat. I told her, you are supposed to climb over the people and say "scuze me, I jest need to look at sumpin'." Sooner or later they will switch seats with you. Isn't that right Maria?

Still no news from Jeff, no news is good news, no news is good news, no news is good news....

Jody had a PET scan yesterday and will get the results of that Friday. #4 treatment really gave him a beating yesterday. He said he was very ill all day, but by the end of the evening he was feeling quiet a bit better. He will go for his Neulasta shot today... back to the bone pain for a few days. He is making plans for the weekend, so that's a good sign. He was talking to someone last night about seeing them in Garland Saturday.

My hands are cold... fall is definitely in the air out here at 5:00. I'm ready for the leaves to change.... then Christmas, and then summer again.... I prefer warm weather, can you tell? I should have made a fire in the chimenea....

One last pic of Jolea hefting her bag into the truck.

Ha ha ha! I thought you were going to send a half eaten corn dog in her luggage... not the white bread squished into a triangle with a face on it - Too Funny!!!

Oh no, she deserved only the best... her hand made onigiri. Jody thought it was a brilliant idea.

He's in a baggie... I was afraid the luggage checkers would find it and make you explain the contraband.

You will love it up there when you go to visit! The flight to Seattle isn't too bad during the day -- you see the Grand Canyon, Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Ranier. It's just long.

I don't mind long flights if I'm by the window, as nutty as it seams I take pictures.
But she will only be in Seattle until Nov. then she goes to Marina Del Rey and on to Cabo. They are only in Seattle b/c the boat is in the yard there.
